Direct secondaries

A holding can still have a future even when it no longer fits your timeline. We consider direct purchases of existing VC and PE positions, from a single investment to a small group of assets.

Discuss your holdings

An exit doesn’t have to wait for an exit event.

This may be relevant if you are considering:

  • A single remaining investment delaying a fund’s closure
  • A minority holding with no near-term liquidity event
  • An investor seeking to simplify an existing portfolio
  • An asset that sits outside a manager’s current focus

How we approach it

We review the nature of the security, available company information and the practical route to a transfer. Where there is a fit, we discuss pricing and terms directly with the holder, subject to diligence and the necessary consents. For large portfolios, we may offer to involve other secondaries players in our network.

We consider opportunities individually. An initial enquiry is exploratory; any acquisition depends on diligence, agreed terms and the feasibility of completing the transfer.

Other situations we consider

Let’s make room for what’s next.

A discreet conversation with a potential buyer. A high-level overview is all we need to begin.
